Hello family!
Well, we did it. We are officially an empty nest. It broke my heart and at the same time made me so excited. Henry and Addie are both really happy where they are and I know they’ll have so many great adventures but man I miss them already. My dear friend shared this quote by Catherine Newman and I thought I would share it here in case anyone else in the empty nest boat has a heart that is hurting a little bit.
On An Empty Nest:
“As it turns out, I have been essentially hosting my own children for decades- throwing a permanent kind of dinner party that I wanted them never to leave, even though they’ve left now and it’s good, of course. It’s the way it should be. But I have never not shopped for groceries without thinking of them, dazed with love.”
And so to continue feeling like I’m hosting a dinner party, this week I will have Howie, Hank AND Zepeda so if you’ve been missing that spicy little number now is your time! I’ll also have the Troublemakers because I think we all need a little treat. As always please order ahead if you’d like to guarantee I have what you love ready for you!
Next week (and maybe for a while depending on what is best for you all) I will bake on Wednesday instead of Sunday, so Wednesday the 26th. Please, if you have a minute will you answer the poll? It seems maybe weekdays/nights are easier for people to come by and grab their bread, let me know if that is true for you!
